Catching up on Vienna

Sorry that I find facebook so much easier to use, going to try to catch up while I rest my feet.

The Dolomitis

I am simply in awe of the Dolomitis.......the area is HUGE, so many small towns, roads, possibilities for hiking at many different levels.  All something Claudia and David have explored over 30 years and more.  Claudia's family is from the South Tirol and now I know something about what that means.

To San Pelligrino

Up and outside the old spa town of San Pelligrino we hiked to the ancient site where the Tasso family started the Postal Service for all of Europe..............in the museum we saw letters hundreds of years.  The sound of the Brembo river rushing below, the soft early summer breeze, the puffy white clouds hightened our enjoyment of the ancient site.

David took Steve to the highest point in Bergamo, I stayed home and rested

I am writing here just to see what happens when I do it in this screen titled Post Content. So, this is a test.

Still learning how to blog.....

Its only Tuesday and we went shopping in the low city (the new city). I was after the fabulous ITalian handkerchiefs, Steve needed new boot laces. We took the funicular up to the High city had a nice lunch.

Today is a national holiday so the Zamboni family had a gathering including an olive oil tasting.
